The starting price of Saxenda at BeautyClinic Global is €450 per month, which includes weekly counseling. Our doctors only prescribe Saxenda to clients who meet the indications for its use.

How does Saxenda® work?

It regulates appetite by reducing the feeling of hunger and increasing the feeling of satiety. This leads to a reduced food intake and subsequent weight loss. The injections can be self-administered.

How safe is it?

Saxenda is approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and the Ministry of Health.

Side effects of Saxenda

Like all medications, Saxenda can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them. The most common side effects of Saxenda are: [Please provide the specific side effects you would like to mention.]

Dosage of Saxenda.

Dosing schedule for adult use. Always use this medication as instructed by your doctor. Below is a simple dosing schedule to help you gradually increase the dosage from the starting dose of 0.6 mg to the maximum dose of 3.0 mg.

Week 1 – 0,6 mg – once daily.
Week 2 – 1,2 mg – once daily.
Week 3 – 1,8 mg – once daily.
Week 4 – 2,4 mg – once daily.
Week 5 – 3.0 mg – once daily (maintenance dose).

A dosage higher than 3.0 mg per day is not recommended.

Where do you inject Saxenda?

Saxenda® is administered as a subcutaneous injection. Do not inject it into a vein or muscle.

Before using the pen for the first time, your doctor or nurse will show you how to use the pen.

Storage instructions

Before use:

Store Saxenda® before the first use in the refrigerator at a temperature of 2°C to 8°C. Do not store it in the freezer or near the freezer compartment, as freezing can render it ineffective.

During use:

After first use, Saxenda® can be stored for up to one month below 30°C or in the refrigerator (2°C – 8°C). Keep the cap on the pen to protect it from light.

Do not use this medication after the expiration date indicated on the label of the pen and on the cardboard box after “EXP”. The expiration date is stated as a month and year, with the last day of that month being the expiration date.

Did you forget to use Saxenda®?

If you forget a dose and remember it within 12 hours of the usual time, inject the medication as soon as you remember. However, if it has been more than 12 hours since the missed dose, skip the missed dose and inject the next dose the following day at the regular time. Do not take a double dose the next day to make up for the missed dose. Also, do not increase the dose the next day to make up for a missed dose.

Needles for your Saxenda® pen.

The pen is designed for use with NovoFine® single-use needles with a length between 4 and 8 mm and a gauge of 30-32G. A new needle should be used for each injection. The pen and needles should never be shared with others.

Are you going on a trip?

Are you planning to travel soon? Then proper preparation is crucial. In addition to the usual storage conditions, extra measures may need to be taken while on vacation to protect Saxenda® from freezing or exceeding 30°C, for example:

storing it in a cooler box.
storing it in a cool bag.

In addition, the following should be noted: you should not:

expose it to direct sunlight.
store it in a car parked in the sun.
place it directly against the cooling element in a cooler box or cool bag to prevent freezing.
store it in a car exposed to freezing temperatures (such as during winter sports).
bring it in the cargo hold of an airplane to prevent freezing.
